Dolly Parton is ready to rock.

country music icon says NPR Friday that she changed her mind about her invitation to join the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

Parton, 76, formerly attempted to withdraw his appointmentbut now says she will “gracefully accept”.

“I would just say thank you and I’ll take it because the fans are voting. But when I said that, I always believed the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame was for rock music people, and I recently found out that’s not necessarily it,” the 10-time Grammy winner told NPR.

“But if [rock musicians] can’t go there to be recognized, where do they go? So I just felt like I would take it away from someone who maybe deserved it, definitely more than me, because I never thought of myself as a rock artist, she added. “But obviously there’s more to it than that.”

In March, Parton said she was “extremely flattered and grateful” to be nominated for the honor, but wished to decline.

“I don’t want the votes split because of me, so I must respectfully step down,” the ‘9 to 5’ actor said. “I hope the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame will understand and be willing to consider me again – if I’m ever worthy.”

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame later defended its decision to nominate Parton and suggested that the singer-songwriter was still going to be nominateddespite his wishes.

“Dolly Parton’s music impacted a generation of fans and influenced countless artists who followed,” the statement read. “His nomination to be considered for induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame followed the same process as all other artists who were considered.”

“Dolly’s nomination, along with the 16 others for the Class of 2022, was sent earlier this month to our 1,200 general ballot voters, the majority of whom are entertainers themselves, for consideration at our induction ceremony, he explained.

The Rock & Roll inductees are expected to be announced in May 2022, with the induction ceremony taking place in the fall.
