When you think of cities with the best music scenes in the United States, your mind tends to turn to the big coastal cities like New York, Los Angeles, Miami, and New Orleans. While these cities all undoubtedly have vibrant music stages, Denver has quietly become a major hub for the sound arts and deserves to be a part of the conversation of the nation’s best. This is all the more evident when you look at the city’s thriving electronic music scene. One of the true hotbeds of bass music in America, Denver hosts a plethora of electronic music events and festivals throughout the year.
With the momentum building, the city is ripe for new festivals, and the folks at Levitate Events are here to scratch that itch by announcing a brand new electronic festival coming to Denver on October 2nd. High Ground Music Festival takes over the picturesque Levitt Pavilion in what will be Colorado’s largest independent one-day festival this year.
Rooted in EDM and future bass, the festival offers a solid lineup for its inaugural edition, which will be hosted by British duo Snakehips and Swedish producer Kasbo. Louis Futon, Haywyre, Chet Porter and Pluko are other notable names on both stages of the festival. Local scene leaders Bass Physics, JackLNDN, Lucy Daydream and more will also take the lead at High Ground 2021.
Blending national and international sounds on one project, along with visual art installations and bringing the region’s natural beauty into the experience, High Ground Music Festival is definitely a new festival to keep on your radar.
