You’ll soon be able to skate on a magical illuminated maze rink in Quebec

It’s almost time to dig up those skates and plan a day trip to Wakefield, Quebec.

Éco-Odyssée Nature Park has created an all-new skating maze, offering more than five kilometers of outdoor frozen trails to explore, covered in the beautiful winter climate of the province.

Some parts are illuminated every Thursday evening.

Let’s be honest, if you want to explore the province, what better way to do it than outside on skates? It doesn’t get much more Quebec than that…

Eco-Odyssée offers visitors the opportunity to discover the park’s “enchanting water channels”, all on skates, located in the heart of nature.

The site also offers skate sharpening, equipment rentals, warm-up areas and food trucks. Non-skaters can also take advantage of the park’s hiking, birding, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing trails.

Every Thursday evening, Eco-Odyssée illuminates a kilometer of trails with lights and bursts of music. Theme nights this winter include Christmas, Quebec, disco, reggae, jazz, rap, pop and the best tunes of 2022.

The skating adventure will be open every day from December 17 to January 8 (2023) then on weekends until March 5.

Each ticket will allow skaters to be on site for up to four hours.

Admission to the park, located less than three hours from Montreal, costs $20 for adults, $15 for children and is free for children under two.
